Hue Disco App Reviews

Will not update on my iPad 2 and iPhone 4s. The developers have decided not to support current customers!? "not compatible with this device". The app works fine so what is the problem?

The lights no longer change with the song. It senses that the song Im playing it 13 bpm and so the lights flash once every 3 seconds. I hope they fix this ASAP.

App update pops up a message saying does not work with your device. I have iPhone 5s.

The disco mode did not work

The update works great: mood settings and adjustments work much better; works well changing lights with the music. No problems at all.

The app recognizes the lights, even flashes them when they are selected in pairing screen, but now will not change them with the sound regardless of sensitivity level, etc.

One feature that would be great is light groups. I have 3 rooms all Hue, however the intensity of Hue Disco gets lost over such a large set of lights in separate rooms. It would be great to treat each group independently (I know there are limits with the API). Designating lights or groups to certain frequency ranges would be useful as well :). Great work this far, hope development continues.

After this update, my light stop changing color. Please fix it

The strobe follows the pattern that you select lights in settings. Itd be better if the strobe pattern was random. Otherwise great app.

I dont know how tech friendly these other people are, but dont believe it doesnt work blah blah... The hard work on this app is apparent. I have a penthouse apartment in London with so many spotlights and a crazy amount of vaulted ceiling window-walls. Installed a bunch of hue spotlights and have been searching for that app that could transform it. Added some tea lights to the glass staircase and Im sure my realtor would be sad for the price he sold it to me for! Thank you, developers. You boosted my life; and profit!

app doesnt work just locks up the phone DO NOT BUY THIS APP!!!!!

This was a nice app that I used often until the last update that claims it wont work on my IPad 3. This has now been fixed so I happily give it five stars!

So far this app has worked one time. When I first got it up and running it worked pretty well. But after closing the app and trying again it failed to control any of the bulbs. After several re-pairs with the hub and phone restarts, the app still is unable to control the bulbs. This is on an iPhone 6s+ with most recent iOS. Might be a cool app if it worked. The strobe swipe thing is pretty terribly design though.

Loved this app! A great addition to my hue library of apps, and until the latest update, an absolute must have. Not sure what has changed with the most recent update, but now it does nothing. After trying to repair with the bridge and/or the individual lights, Ive had zero success in control the "disco" in any lights. Very disappointed and I hope a fix comes out very soon. Will happily update my rating to 5 stars once basic functionality is returned.

Used this app all the time but since a recent update it does not find any bulbs any more

I used to love this app but it no longer works. It freezes my phone completely to where I have to restart it. I recommend it when its fixed.

This app has been great since it came out, but since the last update it has been garbage! It will recognize your lights and even flash them when locating, but the app doesnt change their colors or work with any function in the app. Ive been a loyal user, but time to look for another app since this one has been ignored now for weeks. DO NOT BUY or DOWNLOAD UNTIL FIXED! In addition, when is Apple going to provide a process to report blatantly broken apps???? Seems like they want to sell the apps, but not be responsible for merchants that dont provide a product that works!

After updating it wasnt working. I uninstalled the app, re downloaded and installed it and the app asked me to verify the hub by clicking the button. After that all my bulbs showed up and I was able to select all of them and have all the functionality of the app working again.

Just got a Phillips Hue starter pack system and a few bulbs. I had zero problems with this application; getting it hooked up with the Phillips Bridge was super stupid easy (just pushed the button on the top of the bridge when prompted). I wanted to write a review because people are slamming the app unfairly (IMO). The app itself is great in that it uses the microphone to listen for sounds then does a whole bunch of effects with the connected lights. It’s perfect for me because I already have a streaming whole-house music solution that isn’t an airplay based system. So I don’t need a music player.. just a ‘music listener’ and light show controller.

If you updated & it doesnt work just delete, re-download & repair should be all set
